Yeah Armand, what a beautiful name for a 'connard' as we say in France (forget this word if you're learning french! lol) With this vampiric elegance ...
Eeeeeeep!!! OH NO!!!!! Is marmand your character or from another story??? It's just that, my sister and i also have a vampire character called Armande!!!
He still kinda reminds me of Malfoy I can't help it, its the clothes Lucius wears in HP. Very much alike with the cane. Sometimes it happens though, you know doing art and you think you're making them look so dif, but somehow that other character just still makes their way thru.
For instance this past year been a bit obsessed with Fanart from Rapunzel, er, Tangled. And one day I was doing an original character and people swore she looked like Rapunzel. Gah. She was already designed before Tangled ever came out. So even in a already created design sometimes when you do pencil strokes some people slip thru that you don't want. Its ok I understand and I still like him.
The problem with the specific case of Lucius is that the designers made him look like a 18th century gentleman. (Catogan in the hair, the cane...) This is why he maybe looks like him, but I didn't want Armand to look like Lucius at all. He's a 18th century man, living at this period, and he's blond. the long hair was quite usual at this period
I think it's people in general who can't see something without truing remembering something they already know But I don't have a problem with that But, no, I wasn't thinking at Lucius at all as I know from the very beginning Armand would have blond hair (makes a lot of character looking evil XD) and I use references for 18th century clothes I even sew some 18th century clothes myself
But yes, it's a well know fact that a character will obviously look like another one, etc
