[Tutorial] How to make brushes by Katikut [Tutorial] How to make brushes by Katikut
PLEASE DOWNLOAD FOR FULL VIEW :)

Hello!
I've made a tutorial like this one some years ago but it was really short.

Thanks to my friend :iconorpheelin: and her tutorials which helped me to remember that I had to make this tutorial again for a while!

sorry but I won't translate it. I miss time, it's already hard for me to make such a tutorial since I'm french and not english speaker :)
Sorry about the possible mistakes. :)

PS: some examples of the brushes bellow have been downloaded a long time ago by me or some collegues. If you ever know who made them, please tell me so I can credit them :)

I can't seem to get the option in the 3rd step to define the brush settings :c any reasons to why it could possibly do that?

Which version of photoshop do you use? Because there's this option in CS2, 3, 4, 5, 6... (at least:))

13? I don't understand. After CS6 you've got Photoshop CC and that's all if I'm right. Are you sure you're talking about photoshop and not for example photoshop elements?

Ooops :S Photoshop elements is a cropped version of photoshop :S It's not really comparable. Many functions are not in photoshop elements :(
But you can download all the CS2 suite for free on adobe's website for 2 years now :) CS2 is one of my favourite because the other ersion often crash when this one doesn't. All the main functions were already here and I've sed it for a looooong time :) Even if it's a bit old now, 95% of the drawing tutorials still applies to this version and the interface is still the same ;) You'll still have more function than in Elements ;) The only thing to do is to register and make an account on the adobe website. Then you can download all the suite (illustrator, indesign, photoshop...) or only the software you need. Then you've got the serial just next to the download link.

Here's the link to download everything (the links appear only when you're logged in your account)
 helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite…; < enjiy! It's totally legal ;)

this is a game-changer! ive been using photoshop for so many years and never made a brush..
Thank you for sharing this!
its so much easier and quicker than I ever thought it was to make them

I am having trouble with the chain, how do you get the brush to change angles and follow a path?
mine all stay horrizontal with each instance

You should have an option concerning the angle of your brush somewhere. In shpae dynamics, choose angle jitter 0% and direction ;)Thanks a lot for your comment ! :)
