WIP - Wishing Dress by Katikut WIP - Wishing Dress by Katikut
Here's a wip of the dress that goes over my grand bustle. There's still a lot of things to add (apron, paniers, trims, sleeves of course... Appliqués, lace...

If you want to fllow the making of this dress, here's my blog:

On ne peut que adorer déja parce que c'est bleu *-* et ensuite parce que c'est Christine (même si cette gourde franchement, elle aurait pu rester avec le Fantome XD)
Bref, bravo

Wow! This is going to be beyond fantastic! Panniers you say, for a late bustle era?? I thought they did all slender/smooth in front and sides/hips with all the volume in the back? (I'm sure you know more about it than I do :-)

I don't know why but US girls are calling these things on the sides: [link] paniers... I don't know the french word for these. But you should only wear a bustle likle this one under this kind of dress: [link]

I was wearing real paniers for my 18th century event yesterday :D

Oh, I see, I had no idea "panier" was used for the side apron drape thingies; I only knew the use of the word for the side underthings like the 18th C dresses. Thanks for educating me! (souvent amusant, quand une langue empreinte à une autre... "look what nice baskets I'm wearing" LOL)

Hmmm I'm not sure that it's the right word, side drape seams more correct to me XD
